1975 Suzuki GT550 gets new Higgspeed expansion chambers - Before & After
Просмотров 17 тыс.10 месяцев назад
My personal Suzuki GT550 gets a new set of Higgspeed expansion chambers. Listen to the exhaust note before with stock pipes, and after the install. I still have to check the jetting, and will post here what changes I have to make. This bike will be keeping its stock airbox system...only change is the expansion chambers.

1947 Harley Davidson Knucklehead barn find
Hey I got one of those
Thanks for showing it. brings back WONDERFUL memories 🙂
BEAUTIFUL bike, exactly like the one I had in '74 and '75 during my college days.Regret (to this day) selling it. Wish I had the money to buy one JUST LIKE IT. I am soooo jealous.
Mine would run around 30 when I was 12 they pulled me over and said I had to be 16 to ride it but I still rode it all the time
What do you want for one them
I had one of them in 1978 i was 12 years old
don't forget to re-jet the carbs! standard jets are almost always too small!
They look so good Naked . I would like to have one . I was 15yrs. Old when it was made .
You can tell that baffle is missing haha. I was on my GT380, had a 3 into 1 pipe and it blew the baffle midway through a tunnel, nearly deafened me lol
Nice looking set of pipes
Had one from new in 75. Kept it for 3 years. It was our only form of transport summer and winter. Nice bike.
Sweet
It’s so clean 😢 I hope I can get mine like that soon
Much nicer looking than the race-looking motorcycles these day!
Killer Sound especially when warm up
My dad had a 82 750, she's a beauty
I just picked one up, missing the carb. Cant seem to find much online as far as parts go
We have a 1975 XL250 for sale with a good engine and nice clean gas tank for $500.
Had the 125 loved it. It did 70 mph
Oh I miss my baby GT550 Terry Becket exhausts , box S/A rear and 3/4 sports fairing.
Just imagine Cruising Route 66 on that baby ! 😊 That year was the best paint job too
Shitty video for sure
For sale!!!
After I had a Waterbuffalo 750 upgraded with expansion chambers, K&N Filters, and re- jetted by the Suzuki shop, it burned a hole in the piston of the middle cylinder. I would never mod a 2 stroke again. That work was done by Suzuki...
Nice, but not original winkers, needs its grab rail and in England im pretty sure it was one gold stripe and one silver , but who wouldnt want this beauty 👍
I have an 86.. Actually I have 2...one with 32km on clock... My most recent... 25kkm on clock...
I have the same bike I love it I've worked on them all my life , for a living retired now How about bike with two knockoff carburetors and the guy didn't set them up right and he still had the originals in the box But after I synchronized the new Chinese carburetors they ran perfect.
My 73 with ocelot chambers was slower than my 75 with stock set up . 115 , on a long stretch of I 84 on spectro oil
My neighbor had this very bike. I had a RM125. My RM would over heat and I had to keep that always in mind. No mater how I rode it. I was in high school so I always rode it all out LOL. This bike does not get hot. This bike is a blast. I could not own this bike, I would ride it all out all the time. The true motocross elsi 250 from that year (not this enduro tuned down model) is a flat out death trap. It did not have the suspension to handle the crazy acceleration that 250cc two stroke put out. It was the go to engine for go-carts. Drop a 250 cc two stroke in a go-cart. Oh how did we ever live thru the 70's.
Price??
Hi. Yes, this bike is available for sale. Check our website for current pricing and other vintage motorcycles for sale. www.WilliamsVintageCycle.com
Is this bike for sale?
The sound of my youth. We had Kerker or Laser on them back then.
Nice. I ride a '79 xs1100 and I love that bike. I've been curious about these triples for a while.
Beautiful
That is one NICE bike! I loved these back then..
What did this bike wind up going for?
These were fun bikes to ride fast. The throttle was like an on - off switch. Man, these things would blast over North Craolina sand like nobodies business. Nice bike.
That's not an Elsinore . It's an Enduro , the Elsinore was an MX bike .
The MT's were also called the "Elsinore", but I think the engine may have been de-tuned a bit from the MX versions. I almost bought one of them (a new MT125) as a kid in the mid 70's. We are terrible with all history, and that is bad for us.
@@EarthSurferUSA never heard of an MT ? ....... Xl , Cl, CB , XL, SL. What's an MT ?????
Check out what Honda put on the left side cover, below the MT250 decal. :-)
It is an Elsinore! The CR250m Elsinore was the motocross version and the MT250 Elsinore was the enduro version. Do a little research…
You’re not to smart about these bikes.
I bet that thing rips...I would love it if 2 strokes made a comeback
All we have to do is abolish the EPA, and we could make and ride what we want again---and afford it.
I ruined one in 1980, when for whatever reason it French kissed a tree..lol.
Your assking pryce is?.
Eny 0ffa yetti?. Ill make 1. If u aint being stoopid
77
Eny1, selling a754?
Hondas , Suck
If you knew anything about engineering, manufacturing and quality control,---you would not say that about the company who makes the best quality products in the world.
That's some solid Japanese engineering right there.
You swallow!
600 bucks
OK 700,if I have 3
Back inn tinn da dea. We bought minicyles 50cc
This post got me so fired up I want to find one in good shape and get it.
O my god the first bike i started on, i miss it. I wish i could find one out my way.
I have a 82 750 KnightHawk
Nothing beats the oem pipes for looks or sound!
